Churches
Fostering Hope seeks to work with and support churches to care for vulnerable children, young people, and their families in their communities.
We believe the Church is ideally placed to ensure that every child and young person has the loving home and community.
We can partner with you to increase your,
- Understanding of the out of home care sector
- Understanding of the needs of foster/kinship/informal carers, birth families, and those working in the sector in your community
- Kids and youth programs capacity to work with children, young people, and families from all backgrounds
- Understanding of child and youth safe legislation and reporting requirements.
There are many ways a Church can support Fostering Hope in raising awareness of the needs of children in out of home care and promoting opportunities for your people to get involved.
- Annually host Foster Care Sunday
- Invite us to share at your service or groups
- Partner with us as a local mission partner
- Share and invite your people to attend our mentor training, trauma training, and other events
- Join our prayer team
We pray you will open your congregations to children in care and the families opening their homes to them and help them provide the best homes possible to foster hope.
