Trauma Awareness Training
Kids with Capes

Fostering Hope believes all children and young people should have the opportunity to engage in
education, extra-curricular activities, and every part of life. We also acknowledge children and young people impacted by trauma or hard starts may present with behaviours we do not understand. Every person interacting with children and young people could be a safe and positive adult in their life.

Fostering Hope seeks to support people working and volunteering with children and young people, their families, and the children, by developing trauma awareness resources and training to increase understanding, compassion, and quality of care.

Fostering Hope acknowledges and pays respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the traditional and original owners and continuing custodians of Lutruwita/Tasmania. We acknowledge and are saddened by the terrible mistakes of the past to remove Aboriginal children from their families, communities, and country. We recognise the ongoing trauma as a result of this. We believe Jesus came to love, save, and heal all people and Fostering Hope exists to reflect His love.
