Trauma Awareness
We know that a little bit of understanding about the impacts of unsafe beginnings can make a huge difference in the way a child or young person with ‘difficult’ behaviours is treated. Unsafe beginnings impacts a child’s body, brain, self-worth, and ability to engage with others, education, extra curricular activities, and everything. None of this is their fault. And without understanding the way they are treated can perpetuate their negative self-belief and coping mechanisms. With understanding can come healing, safety, and an ability to engage in their world.
